I'm a compassionate person I place alot of value in people. As a social work major poverty is an issue that I get worked up about. It blows me how some people in the US have more money than they know what to do with while others within our own borders go without basic necessities of life. Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere so once again the US is within close proximity of poverty and does very little. Well that being said yesterday Haiti was the epicenter for a devastating earthquake. It breaks my heart to see such a struggling nation even more torn apart. At times like this I just wonder how this will all work out as it is a part of God's plan.
